Welcome to Healthy Neurotics

I'm Lysanne Sizoo...

I’m a transpersonal psychotherapist, counsellor, and writer with a rich background in international mental health.

Originally from the Netherlands, I began my career as a TV journalist before retraining to become a Psychotherapist. For over two decades, I have been dedicated to assisting people on their journeys to individuation and growth.

In 2000, I published Small Sparks of Life, telling the story of my journey to motherhood through five miscarriages.

Much of my inspiration for these blogs comes from my work as an international counsellor. I see clients in private practise in Stockholm and occasionally in Amsterdam. I also work online.

Please contact me if you want to know more you can message me or visit my webpage at Truest Self.

How can you work with me?

My therapeutic and creative work often focuses on psychological challenges faced by travellers of all kinds, from international nomads to seekers of embodied higher wisdom.

Anyone with the courage to travel runs the risk of losing their way. And those times of dis- and reorientation can become the most fruitful times for growth and insight. I will help you to navigate the complexities of internal and external relocation, identity, and adaptation.

My therapeutic approach emphasizes the importance of meaning, purpose, and trust in one's inner voice, guiding clients to reconnect with their higher consciousness and life flow. I also write extensively about these topics, blending my personal experiences with professional insights to support others through their life transitions.
